I have to calm myself when I get too excited about a stock – especially a small cap stock – but this firm looks very interesting to me.
Essentially, the company owns energy infrastructure assets, but packages its stocks not as a master limited partnership (MLP) but as a real estate investment trust (REIT).
The CEO is a very experienced energy investor who has assembled a very skillful team of fellow energy investors. I have not done a valuation yet, but the company’s strategy looks very credible and attractive to me. (Here is the presentation I saw.)
Oh, and by the way, its dividend yield is 9% and the CEO says his main goal is dividend stability rather than growth. Interested now?
